Another involves Earl the Redneck and his zany antics as he shows those rich snobs on the hill some local color. One involves a father and a son preparing their town for the annual Guts and Glory Race. There are many stories involved with the tracks included with the game. Each one has their own unique feel and style that lends themselves to traversing a horrid landscape of crossbows, cannons, and landmines. You could do the Yang family, which is a family car that can do some insane Tokyo drift, or you could do Larry who flies in a homemade rocket chair. You could do John and Jimmy, who is slower but a lot more relatable.
There are several characters available, each of which has their own unique feel and play style. This is more of an obstacle course or a time trial game rather than a racing game.

Determined players on tough tracks will find themselves hobbling across the finish line bloodied, missing limbs, stuck full of arrows, on a smashed vehicle only one hit away from being incapacitated. Wheels can be popped or just knocked off completely. Vehicles get dented, smashed and lose parts.
Severed limbs spray blood all over nearby characters and the environment as you struggle to hang on and reach the finish line.
This means that every turn, every crash, and every death is unique-and often results in hilarious scenarios. GameplayĮach vehicle is completely physics-driven, with 100% ragdoll riders, realtime dismemberment, and vehicle damage. They’ll race to the finish line dodging all sorts of hazards, including sawblade windmills, giant wrecking balls, medieval cannons and crazy turrets. Guts and Glory is about ordinary people competing in extraordinary challenges of life and death! Several possible game modes are planned, but the first is a “survival racing experience.” Players will select from a wide variety of vehicles, including realistic bicycles, poorly built cars, and rocket-powered homemade contraptions.
